Default new throttle servo but problems

Just put in a Futaba S3005 servo and the first time i started up my truggy after i put it in the truggy almost took off on me. I had to turn it off or it would have been down the block. What can i do to fix this? Should i turn in the idle screw?

Sounds like your linkages are not set up right..Take off the air filter and look into the carb throat, make sure the servo is holding the slide closed with about a .5-1mm idle gap. You can usually adjust it with the collar and the spring on your throttle linkage..Also set your EPA's to open the slide to about 1mm from fully open..this will put less strain on your servo..A throttle return of some kind (spring or rubber band) is highly recommended!

End point adjusments. SO set with your transmitter. Give it Full throttle while car is off and adjust your servo so there is less stress. Do the same with brakes on. I usually take in about 2mm on each end. This will alleviate any unwanted stress to your servo

You mean visible twitching or does it sound almost like static?

The best advice for a beginner is to go to your local track and find a racer to help out. Its hard to diagnose/fix problems over the net. The first thing to do is get your radio/servo adjustments in order before you even start the car.

They are where the servo's travel ends.

I'm working so can't open in it right now. Hopefully someone else will chime in and help you out.

I've never seen that before, EVER.
Could be a bad servo, no idea though,
