Default Fly Wheel Question!

I was installing my mugen flywheel today (just removed the m2c flywheel)..

Is it ok if there is a small gap between the flywheel and front engine bearing? I know you have to have some space period but the gap is big enough i am able to see light coming through.

I didnt think it was an issue but i just wanted to make sure! Thanks

Was the collet pushed all the way to the front bearing before you intalled the flywheel?

Yeah, the manual showed a spacer between the collet and the bearing as well which as also there.

Only reason i could think of the gap was maybe that was a diff collet because of the M2C flywheel...

Its not a large gap but like i said its enough that i can see light coming through.

If it says use a spacer then use it. As long as the flywheel is tight Eng worry about it. Mount it up and go. I don't use a spacer on my losi 2.0 but it doesn't tell me t either. I thnk it will be fine.

I have a huge gap between front bearing and flywheel as vario 3 flywheel is quite narrow. collet touches the bearing as it's supoposed to but it just looks like vario is made like this. I got two big races with the clutch (about 3 hours of driving time) and everything works well.
collet - 0.3mm shim - bearings and clutchbell has just the right amount of play.

Use the collet that came with your kit with the spacer..If you are using the MC2 collet with the stock flywheel and spacer that may give you too much of a gap, you dont want dirt entering your front engine bearing. Get the flywheel as close as you can to the engine
