O.S. engine stalling out
 

Here I am trying to tune this engine and nothing i do seems to work. It will idle fine , but when i do a quick throttle it bogs and stalls. If i ease in to the throttle it is better, but i quickly let off and it dies. Ideas? I feel like I have tried everything. Temp is between 200 and 210.

lean the bottom out some. see what that does.

yes...

turn the low end needle in a couple of hours at a time until it starts to pick up...run it some more, retemp then you can tune the top for top speed on the straight, temp recheck etc

it shouldn't take much unless you've moved the factory settings a lot

Check your clutch shoes, springs, and bearings.... if anyone of those are having issues you'll have stalling issues.

I had this exact same problem on my pro mod Vspec. Front bearing seal was gone....leaking very badly!

I also have this problem after run-in a new engine. Full throttle then engine die....change new glow plug also same. After check and found my idle gap are too less(almost close). After I set the idle gap to about 2mm, all the problem "go". And start from there, I managed to tune my engine. Check your idle gap with remove the filter out and start from there.

A 2mm idle gap is much too large on the V-Specs. It should be between 0.5 and 1.0mm. Without seeing or hearing the engine, it's impossible for us to know whether you're rich or lean on the bottom, and it could be either one. If it dumps a TON of smoke and/or spits oil off of idle, then you're too rich. If there's no smoke at all when you stab the throttle, then you're too lean. Experiment in both directions.
