its the same one for the ninja, tonysscrews sells them, the ninja jx, speed and vspec all use the same turbo button, you will be impressed with the power you pick up as well as the economy

What pipe are you running with your JX21?
I have the EBMods button too, running the Ninja with the EBMods pipe.
Struggling to hit the 9mins mark..
I guess what pipe you use does make a lot of difference to runtimes..

Btw, guys..
I have a JP B5N mod, about 4 gallons old.
Do you think it's worth replacing the engine's p/s + conrod and hoping tt the B5 will get abt 9min runtime?
I'm thinking of getting a std P5 p/s to save on cost as the JP's p/s are too expensive..
Worth rebuilding the B5? What are your opinions?
And what is a good mileage pipe for the P5 series of engines?
mileage = 053 pipes , the b5 needs a p/s after only four gallons ? what did you do to it ? . if you want it fixed , get a hold of me .

novarossi 5 port w/ 6.5mm restrictor/ odo77/ ofna 053 pipeset should easily get 10 min. .

drivetrain can rob runtime , wheelspin can rob runtime , heavy trigger can rob runtime , improper tune can really rob runtime . lots of factors to the equation

I'm running mbx6 too, so my car is light too..
I agree that lesser power can equate to faster laptimes.

At the moment, everyone's going for mileage rather than outright power from the engine.
I guess 2060 pipes are the way to go for the Speeds and Ninjas..

Someone did mention to me that using the EBMods pipe = average runtime.
Great bottom end though!

I've got a light throttle finger, so not much wheelspin + tuning not really an issue..
But still average mileage from my JX21. sigh..

I stayed away from italian pipes for a long time due to their fragile nature. Thin sidewalls and weak stingers equals to lots of dings and dents..
I've used Novarossi/Max/RB pipes, they do make more power but lotsa $$ down the drain..

I was thinking of trying the AE/TTR 2035 pipe with the B5.
Great reviews of the pipe, good runtime + power.
And I'll try the 6.5 or 7mm restrictor and see how it goes..

Didn't know a 5port Novarossi can get great mileage.
The P5 series has been around for ages, great engines but no one has ever spoken of 10min runtimes..
And I'm thinking of the Plus4 for my next engine.

btw houston, I just PM'd you..

on some engines smaller restrictors wont yield better fuel economy, if it takes away to much power you will be in the throttle more which will cancel out any fuel savings that you were looking to get, best thing to do is test back to back, i found that the 8mm restrictor works best for me on os based engines

I truly don't think there is such a thing as a 10 minute list to be honest..I have seen huge fluctuations in run times due to different conditions and driving style... We have a heavily modded JPX 21 that was doing easy 10 minute pitstops at the Canadian Nationals with enough fuel for another 2 minutes.... This very same engine will only run 9 minutes at our home track... my V-Spec is the same way, on some tracks it will run well over 10 minutes, other tracks its nearly dry at 9 minutes and has to be pitted at 8....... Some tracks you will get fantastic mileage, other tracks you will not.....

Lol, at Neo i was getting 14mins on a tank of fuel on a C6. Now outside i'm getting about 9:30/10:30secs depending on the track size.

Powerhouse modded 3, or 7 port race GO tech with dynamite 053, or the 5 port with 086. Will do it.

Wow, that's a lot of money to lose 6oz..
I guess you changed the drivetrain to use alu parts huh?
So the weight of your x6 is still legal eh?

I only changed the upper deck screw to titanium screws, that's all.
Frankly the x6 is oredy pretty light out of the box..
Too light a buggy can sometimes affect the handling on rough tracks.

Regards and back to the topic of this thread..

OS speed 10+ mins with a dyn 053 pipe tested and verified today. It only has 2.5 quarts through it. What a great little engine.

i dont really see how this thread is going so far every engine pipe combo i have ever used has been capable of 10 mins in a buggy by adjusting expo ,epa and venturis its just a case of if running ten mins is an advantage as with some tracks its a waste of time limiting power for all you laps to save a small amount of time making a fuel stop
i know drivers who struggle to get 7.5 mins with any motor all down to their driving style

I race on a lot of different tracks, and in my experience, there are tracks where going 10 minutes is not possible unless you choke the engine by limiting the carb opening and lose too much power to produce competitive lap times.
at certain tracks, If Im getting more than 9.5 seconds a tank without even trying then i might look into going for 10.
on the other hand if i'm more than a minute off i just don't bother with fuel mileage and work on speed and consistency.
