Best servos for 8T 2.0
I bought a Losi 8T 2.0 to start racing with. This is my first attempt at racing. I want to build this truck with performance and reliability in mind.
With that being said what is the best servos for this truggy for racing? I have everything pretty much figured out except what servos to run. I don 't mind spending the money for quality and reliability but don't want to buy them because there the new fad. This is the last thing I need before I can start assembly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Last season I ran JR9100T of the steering and 9100S on the throttle. I love a fast throttle servo. The JR's did ok but after using the hitec products I can tell they are far superior to the JR servos. I am waiting for the hitec 7940 and 7950 to come out then all the JR stuff will go away.

Setting your endpoits incorrectly will get very expensive FAST. I run hitec 7955's for both with no reg and love it. Ran jr 9100's last year and they were good but the hitecs are far superior. The losi manual has a very in depth guide to setting your throttle linkage correctly, go by it and you will be fine. You never want your throttle to open all the way up, always have a little for flex without stalling the servo
I am sure you can get someone locally to help you with your endpoint setup at your local track-i know I am more than happy to help someone as it was done for me whe I started its just my way of helping our sport grow!!!
If you do decide on the hitecs, they are a little noisier than some of the others, but don't panic hitec says its normal with the 7955's

Jr z9100t = steering
Jr z9100s = throttle
Jr has a 3 year warranty.
As long as you set your endpoints properly with both the steering and throttle you will never need the warranty. If you dont then it dont matter which one you buy. I went with Jr because Ive ran them before in 1/10 scale and never had a failure plus the warranty. Jr, Hitec, Futaba, Ace, all brands will break if not treated properly.

on the throttle you want to run a analog servo hitec does not recommend digital servos for throttle cause always trying to center run a 985 on throttle 180 oz. of torque and .11 which is faster than the 7955
i do not work for hitec just been given info by hitec rep.
i have run this setup in both buggy and truggy and have not had one 985 servo go bad yet or 7955 older 5955 would go bad but that is why they replaced it with the 7955 good luck oh yeah hobby people has 7955 on sale for 99 or shop around can find them fro 89 and the 985 can be found for 75 or less
