when you have numerous ways to hide your RC expenses to your significant other.

e.g.
having a parts/kit/engine shipped to a fellow racer's address,
saying it's just a new painted body when it's actually a whole new car,
hiding a new car under an old body,
etc...

...you always have your two Slashes, batteries, chargers and tools in your trunk so you can swing by the track you and your buddies built in an abandoned lot in the city and telling your wife you had to work a little late today.

When you have a working car, then a $3 part breaks, so you buy a new radio, a forward-only conversion kit, and a servo. Then, because a crappy stock allen head strips on you rear drive cup while you are taking apart the transmission, you find a replacement at A-Main, then need a carbide bit to drill it out to replace the cup.

My week has been fun!

Just waiting for the stuff to come in....stupid postal service....
First year I'll be racing too, have to make my MGT into an anti-revo machine, haha, seeing as that those are my only competition.

Also, instead of replacing parts when they break, you upgrade them with parts worth 4 times as much.
