Default Wheels discussion

Hi all,

There's so many different manufacturers in wheels.

They are varies from:-

sizes, hardness, weight etc

Why is this so ? Are the wheels manufacture according to their car dimension or there's a significant advantages when using such wheels, design or personal preference ?
