First off the mugen isn't even out yet, so you aren't really getting ownere oppinions here.
Now I personally own a losi 2.0T. I love the truck, and as others have said, it IS the truck to beat right now. I also don't see the dramatic difference in quality. IMO losi quality is top notch. The truck has TONS of steering, and soakes the bumps up like no other. The losi is the only TRUE long arm truggy right now. That is to say, it uses zero offset wheels without using hub extenders. That is one big reason for it's stability in the rough. Parts support is second to none. You can walk into almost any hobby shop and buy losi parts. Somehow losi is always the one to be copied, not the one to copy. I think that says a LOT about thier engineering team.
Anyhoo, I am sure the mugen will be a great truggy too, but the truth is, it's not out yet so no one actually knows.
Heres some better deals.

once the 6t comes in stock I would imagine you could apply the same coupon code to it pushing it down to the 550 range. On the "this vs that" like steve said i have read alot of posts like this and most of the time your more confused after then before you started it. I race at alot of different tracks and have owned almost every truck on the market. And my honest opinion just comes down to the type of track i'm running on. I have ran on tracks with the 8t 2.0 and then ran the strr back to back and thought the losi was better, and then be at another track and it would be vise versa. The bottom line is different trucks do different things well. I owned the new losi truck for 2-3 gallons and it handled good but i just didn't like all the slop the truck gets after just a few tanks. I will give it to losi though there plastic is super tough! But the reasoning for that is that its so soft. The plastic doesn't break often but the down side is it will wear quickly. I don't have the mbx6 buggy but i did own the 5t prospec and i would imagine the fit and finish on the 6t to be nothing less. I think the truck will be awesome and should be tough as nails. I can't wait to get mine.
