Default OFNA Chrome Top Starter and Losi 8b

Are there any tricks to making this starter work with a Losi 8b? I am having some issues with this thing.

A guy helped me use one of these after my Losi box wouldn't put out enough to turn the engine over. Only real problem we had was setting up the little pins.

It just seems like the wheel doesn't really fit the slot on the buggy. Maybe I just need to work on the set up. What motor do you have on your buggy? I have a rb c6. I am also using a 12v 7a gel cell in the starter. I would think that I wouldn't have any problem.

Any way you could post some pics of your starter box set up?

I use the same box what I did was get the front set up so it will line up with the flywheel and then I use one post in the back of the box left side if you are looking at it with the handle facing you. you sould be able to read the ofna sign when your looking at it.

hope this helps

You need to take the engine out of the car so you can line the bump box wheel up exactly.

i used the chrome top box. the wheel seemd to b little to big to fit up into the flywheel slot on the chassis. i used a dremel to open up the slot abit. now it works like a charm. mabe u can get the wheel from the losi box to work. i never tried.
