NINJA MR21 B01 - Break-in Issues
I bought this engine last year, used from someone he claimed that its not even finished broken in. For some personal reasons and weather conditions I never got a chance to run this engine until now.
I'm trying to break it in at factory settings using the heat cycle method but even after idling the engine for 2 tanks and 9 tanks of driving in figure 8 when I apply half throttle it turns off. What am I doing wrong ?
If anyone has this engine what method did they use to break it in? is this engine known for a longggg break-in period?

11 tanks is more than enough
start leaning the top end until it cleans out and makes some RPMs

I'm guessing you're running a cold plug? Try a hot one

Thanks for your help guys.
Figured out the problem.
The seal on the fuel tank was not in the right place so it was not letting it close tightly so more throttle increased the pressure in the tank that would make the lid open and release all pressure which would not feed any gas in the carb so the engine was dying.
