Title is correct. Lower nitro= leaner= more fuel mileage.

Go back to factory settings and tune from there. It certantly isnt a good thing. I try to only switch fuels when I am desperate. If you do switch, run the other fuel completely out of the egnien and idle the new fuel for a tank. Why do you want to go back and forth? The OS guy already tuned your engine, why switch to 30%?

i have some 30 and don't have any more money for 20. and since i have done it. It runs alot better on 30. i really did not have to change the settings at all. Matter of fact when i tried to make it richer, my mugen did not like it and wanted to die. So i actually had to make it leaner to get good snap to it. I must have had it too rich in the first place.

What brand of both 20 and 30% fuels were they?

Eww....Traxxas! The reason why you kept leaning out is because Traxxas fuel has high oil content (high syn/low castor) which makes you think the engine is running rich, but it is actually running lean and you get higher temps. Im guessing the Trinity fuel was Monster? That isnt very good either. Get good fuel like Byron, Nitrotane, Maxy's, Sidewinder, etc and it will run alot better. Also get the race blends and NOT the RTR crap fuel. Traxxas fuel is cheaper because it uses very low quality oils.

The correct ratio of fuel/air normally follows the alcohol content. The real kicker when changing fuels, especially between brands with the same nitro and oil content is they may be using a different oil. That changes the viscosity of the fuel so even if all else was the same the needles may have to be set different.

Play it safe. Any time you change fuel, back out the needles a bit and reset as needed when its run.

Run Werks fuel and lean it out.
BUT
If I were you I wouldn't have changed fuel because somebody from O.S. actually helped.
Some people know what I'm talking about.
