.28's are NOT needed for the newer breed of truggy's.....they are more geared towards race .21's.....do yourself and the drive train a favor and pick up a pair of .21's

Def, a .28 is not neccessary, but if you really want, the OS .28 is just plain NASTY. I've seen them run and you'll have more power than you know what to do with. Also the Jammin .28 is GNARLY FAST. But a Pair of good strong .21s will more than get the job done

IMO there is really no need for a .28 in a truggy.

Yeah but how do you expect me to blow the tires off the wheels and land on my roof everytime with a wimpy 21.

All I know is once we get to the last ten feet of the straight before the 180 my 28 will smoke you.

Joking aside I don't think anyone needs a 28 in a truggy.

Like I read in a previous thread about something. If its so good why aren't the pros using them.

Novarossi Plus-4 .21 works great in a truggy, one of the guys I race with runs it in an 8ight-T and it's freaky fast.

+1 Stay AWAY from .28's.

As for a good engine, os v-spec would be plenty for both buggy and truggy. Losi RE11 pipes with them. Not sure if that fits into your price range. The best "budget" engine is the novarossi n21b limited edition. Put one of those in your buggy with a dynamite 086 pipe, and use the extra money to get a v-spec and re11 for your truggy. The nova is a perfect buggy engine. Might be enough for a truggy too, but the if you can, get the v-spec for truggy.
