W.I.N.(WIREGRASS INDOOR NATIONALS)
we are putting on this race in dothan alabama we want this to be a very large event and hassle free so we would like to here everyones suggestions

i know that we cant please all but our goal is to have everyone say that is was a well oiled machine and that they will be back the next year all that we can promise is that we are all ears and we want to make this a race to remember that will keep growing every year

This event is being held May 1st-3rd, 2009 in Dothan, AL (southeast Alabama). This event will also be broadcasted live on www.Liverc.com. They will have there camera's and crew covering the entire event starting on practice day.
Tim has already posted the link directly to the HotShot's website, and the tracks website will be up soon which it is www.wiregrassindoornationals.com. Here is the link to pre-register on rcsignup.com http://events.rcsignup.com/events/di...ent.cfm?ID=502 This race will be advertised through tv commercials in 3 different cities between Alabama and Florida (thank you Knology) to get the word out to new people as well as rc racers. If you have any questions or comments please contact us. There will be a big cash payout to the Pro classes and prizes to the Sportsman drivers as well as to the spectators. We will have family activities to do so bring your kids.

Here are the lists of motels that have rooms blocked for this event. When booking your room mention the group name which is “WIN RC” race. The Holiday Inn South is the closest to the track (about 2 miles). The rest of the motels are within 3-6 miles from the track. All are REAL easy to get to, and all are either next to restaurants or Very close.

You might need to come up with some rules about classifications of running Sportsman so you won't have the same thing that happed at the S.I.C. happen at your race. That was the first race I ever been to that the Sportsman had Sponsor Sheets. I suggest no announcing the sponsors in the A-Main of Sportsman. I'm not hating on the people that has them but if you want to get them reconized run the Pro classes.

There will be some things that will be done a little different at this event. Being that we have been to many different tracks and seen the different formats we see the pros and cons to the different ways of doing things...... For example: The way you start the qualifying, loop placement, the arrangement of the qualifiers and the mains, etc.
BTW, we will be using the live loop method to start the qualifiers.
We have our event logo almost completed, and are currently working on all of the information for the website. It should be up real soon.
We are working on ALOT of different things for this event. SOME that will be announced soon.

We WILL be watching the sportsman class very closely! For instance if anyone notices a pro-level driver running sportsman class please bring that to our attention. With that being said if the top one or two is running pro speeds I would look for them to get bumped up after the first round of qualifying.
This race is going to be extremely fun, fair, fast as well as racer friendly.

Before I know it , I will be on my way to Dothan for this one.
I have seen the arena and WOW it is BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
