racing at night is awesome! more traction, track stays moist(perfect), engines seem to have more power with lower temps and its all dark except for the track really keeps you focused! night is where its at once you go night you'll never go back LOL

Excellent point.Night racing is great..........as long as there are enough lights and they work once the sun goes down.Anyone remember a couple weeks ago at Family when the power went out at the end of the truggy a-main?That makes it really hard to race when that happens.

Any chance the track will be dry enough for the race? Steve Wood and I are thinking about coming up for it.

At work right now, just came in from outside...Saw a sky full of stars!...I know it's suppose to be on and off rain between today and tomorrow, but things are looking a little better for the night race at BD...Hell, I don't even know if there will be enough for a slash class, but I'd still like to see the event itself happen.

There seems to be some standing water around the track but not on the track. If the rain is light it might drain but if it is heavy I don't know. looks like we will have to wait and see. keep you fingers crossed.

i talked to don today around 3pm. final decision will be made at 12 noon. it will be on the message machine by then. as of 3, he was at the track and said it really held up great, one small puddle today, but track was frim and not muddy. he was dressing up one of the tabletops with the skidsteer and it wasnt making a mess. i understand waiting til noon to decide since it is a night race, and even if its a go at noon doesnt mean the weather wont change throughout the afternoon and evening hours. now, lets all bow are heads and pray to the all-mighty rc god..............

Weather is looking promising, just a stray shower or two, and only a 30% chance. Any news on the track conditions?

Had a helluva good time racing last night!...Did a Rusty Wallace and over engineered what was already a good truck, gotta learn to not fix what isnt broke. I was a contender in 10th scale...until the MAIN..LOL... Other than that the racing was great and Im glad to be back running offroad this Summer! Been many a moon!

The track was great. a little dry at first but for the mains it was nice. Everything went well, even the Vineland boys got theres in after Family. 25 contenders for buggy, a little less for truggy( only 2 heats). Lots of good racing, pretty clean(normal bump and grind). If this is a precurser for the ROAR regionals then I'm gonna take off the monday after. Had a good time despite everything. Lets see, forgot my tires, lost the screw and bushing for my steering knuckle before practice( Thanks mfrosty for the hookup). And did anyone see me take a header in the mud marshaling in the A-main
