Wuts up? I was wondering guys if the best way to check gear mesh in the bulk head is to hold on to the drive shaft and the outdrive and move the outdrive to see how much play is there. And would would you recommend for a 1/8 buggy. My buggy does not have different cut gears. just standard mp777. Thanks for any advice.

jhipps if the diff gears arent locking up when u turn the wheels then i wont worry about it just break the engine in, when i was building my eight kit i had the same problem its just a piece of metal off the gears i did sand them through to get them smooth. but i woulnd worry about it of it isnt to bad or locking up

cory put your thumb on your clutch bell and hold and put your other finger on the spur gear and go back in forth to see if there is play. for a 1/8 buggy u want go to search its where it says your sceename.

i had a similar problem with the rear diff in my 8ight 1.0. i placed a couple of 8x10mm shims under the flanged bearing on the ring gear side and also installed aluminum bearing inserts as suggested by a couple of helpful members. this worked for me. try this thread for more info.
