hey EZ have you taken your mugen sleeve out of the case since you have ran it?? You know how the case will leave "marks" on the sleeve? do the spliters in the case for the intake ports inter fear with the longer intake ports of the mugen sleeve??
AFAIK, the internal case port slots are identical between the Speed and JX case when I last checked. The Speed sleeve and JX sleeve ports are shaped about the same. The VSpec sleeve has a difference on the side ports and exhaust ports though.

what method do you use and what is the price?
I am a machinist and the method I will keep it rounder than any method out there. I do not overpinch like some I've heard do. 2 tanks an hour or two richer is all thats needed for break in. I charge $15.00 to pinch a sleeve shipping included back (Us only) $35.00 for the whole motor cleaned, inspected, pinched and rod installed if you send it with. I also stock Tko bearings if needed.

I am not an Os fan but the speed and the Ninja are good motors, only downfall is they tend to lose there pinch faster than some (especially if ran too hot)other brands but do tend to run well with less pinch than other brands.
I am not sure why but my friend says if he got his speed over 250 deg. he lost pinch, after pinching the motor a couple times it has gotten warmer than that but didn't lose it's pinch like before.

i noticed this too..they loose there "metal" pinch pretty quick..but maintain decent compression for a long time...7 to 10 gals...is not very uncommon..but with the plug out you can spin it over effortlessly....kinda worries me too but if it runs it runs..ill usually replace the sleeve when it starts having a unstable idle...

for $15 bucks ill send out a piston and sleeve to you and have it done as long as it stays round and has the correct taper im down! Sounds like you know what your doing...should i clean up the piston and sleeve before i mail it to you???Also please pm me mailing adress/payment instructions...

Actually the Pro Mod is a pretty new engine. Both the speed and speed AL were out before it was.

See my above post. The pro mod uses the normal v-spec sleeve!

how much for the old motor?? what crank will it come with a stock V-spec?

That prospec V-spec probably still runs good though..i see it comes with the easyer to use carb...the difference between the speed sleeve and the Stock V-spec sleeve isnt that much anyways..the biggest difference is the wider exhaust port...that i noticed
