MUGEN MBX5 OWNERS!!!

Hey guys...im thinking about getting a mbx5 from a guy and want to know how these cars hold up. I can't get a mbx6 because I've got too much stuff to keep running but I can get a mbx5 with 2 engines, spare parts and a bump box for less thhan 400. Let me know and thanks.

Tough cars with fairly cheap parts...slightly understeer...probably those pivot ball design..but not a big deal...get the kit and starter box, get rid of those used engines (seem cheap but will cost you in the future), buy a new one!

i broke a lower front and rear a arm this past weekend and still would say they hold up good. im happy with mine.

Bullet proof car, i would change the steering arms to the mbx6 or update 5r so they are held secure by a screw and dont pop on pop off, regarding steering it isnt bad but isnt the best but a simly ackrman adjustment and dremel on the hubs gives you more steering than you no what to do with, i own mbx5 propsec, mbx5r and just got mbx6 which is so different to drive.

Built like a tank, really good car.

don't own one however they seem like really beefy cars. I'd say go get it :)

As for the two motors, I wouldn't chuck them however if there's a local tuner I'd find out if they can clean it up, say new bearings and rod.

Good luck and happy motoring

As for the two motors...one is an o.s which hasn't been run too much and the other motors name I can't remember. The guy who owns this buggy has taken very good care of it. I know I will be getting a new motor I just want this to run for a 1/2 gallon or so . Thanks for all the input guys. I will get it next week and let you know how it all turns out.
