Default difference between new 8ight 2.0 shock tower and old 2.0 tower

just picked up a used 8ight 2.0 in great shape.. i was just wondering how can you tell if it has the "updated" 2.0 tower or the original one that breaks easy

Thanks!

I don't think losi has come out with a updated tower, but don't hold my word as I'm not really sure.

I havent heard of an updated front tower for the 2.0 and have done alot of research on this buggy. Alot of people are putting the kingheadz towers on it with great success. My 2.0 and all its fixings should be at my doorstep in the next hour or so. I cant wait.

+1 on the KH towers or you can go with Matrix Concepts CF towers.

I haven't heard of an updated tower, either. I see people using the 1.0 tower after their 2.0 tower breaks.

i think drake posted on NEO-Buggy there wre some small running updates on the buggy, same part nos......my guess is if you have bought a used 2.0 that has been ran it was one of the first ones, so i would doubt it would have the revised parts on it........i dont know how you would even know if you are buying the updated parts since the nos. are the same........I also "heard" they were doing away with the little half moon camber inserts in the front hubs......

from neo.....pg 51 ask Adam Drake

Rik Q- The shock towers for the 8ight 2.0 and 8ight T2.0 (Race Rollers) are CNC. We have made changes to the design of the front buggy tower and they are available now. Same part number LOSA1714.

Exactly, If they have come out with a new tower, why make it the exact same part #??? I have 3 races on my towers and they haven't bent yet. I may be really lucky, but I think I just jinxed myself . Ohh well no biggie, I'll just replace with KH or matrix towers and be done with it.

I personally haven't broken one yet, but if/when I do, I am just going to replace it with the KHZ one. No sense buying another losi one, even if they did make changes to the design. The KHZ piece is solid.
