Default clutch springs

i bought a new engine and took the clutch of my old engine. The shoes are still good, but i remember how hard it was to put the springs on when it was new. Well i went to put them on my new engine and they were not near as hard or i should say they went right on without any tension really. Now that they are all on the tension is still there but not near as tight. Can i still use thease?

What engine and flywheel are we talking about its possible that the shoe pin locations are closer to center on the new flywheel.

If the spring is weak on the shoes the clutch will engage early and may rub at low rpms causing the clutch bell and shoes to overheat causing you a headache
and prob a melted spur.

I would just replace the clutch with a new one that's recommended for your engine and setup there not too expensive and it will save you headaches further down the road.
