So does my friend, they do have a lot of power, but when I eventually get a truggy roller (trade for a brushless Slash, anyone?), I will put my LRP in.

$350 (bad guesstimate by me)? Really? Nice.......but just too much in my opinion.

Yeah, that would completely support the "hit or miss" theory.

In defense of OS. I have seen quit a few run great and last awhile, but why take a chance. 99 out of 100 Nova's are gonna be awesome. 65 out of 100 OS's are gonna be awesome. Biggest difference is Novarossi wont tell you to go to hell when you get one that comes out of the box with a cracked Case

agreed...

i loved my os but it didnt last long, 3/4th of a gallon and the rod spilt. i sent it to os and they agreed to replace my rod but not the piston/sleeve/ and bearing that was damaged.

but the exact opposite story with my dads vspec. he has a good 6 gallons thru it. ive used it, hes used it. he hasnt even replace the bearings yet even tho i keep tellin him too

long story short every engine manufacture out there will have a dud engine SOMEWHERE. its how the manufacture decided to take care of that engine which i have heard nothing but great about nova. and the new +4 i have seen pit ONCE in a 20 min main and spec

One other place to check for air leaks is the header and pipe gaskets. If they're split, torn, or cracked, they can cause some tuning problems.

HSN = 3 turns from closed, MSN = Flush and LSN = 0.5mm out from flush.

Dang! It's the front bearing! So much for a recently broken in engine...I'm going to replace it with Avid, what do you think guys? Because it's so much cheaper than the original. Avid = $5 OS = $20 (and it sucks).

I use TKO. Not sure about the avid's because I have never used them, but thier other bearings (drivetrain) are top notch.

Use TKO ceramics, and change the back one while you are at it. $35 for both bearings. That's what I did, my front nearing came out of the box leaking and sucking air. Switched to TKO's no problems since, and its just a matter if time before the rear bearing goes also, so might as well do both at the same time

+1 you don't want to have a rear bearing let go.

One more thing, how to safely remove front and rear bearing? Special tools needed?
