Why don't you want the 8ight? What is your budget? Do you plan to race? What does your LHS stock if you have one? What are they running at your local track. All these play a factor as it sucks when you can only get parts online and have to wait 2 weeks for it. It helps to give a scenario as to what you plan to do with your buggy as it can make a difference in the recommendations. Remember you get what you pay for. Off shore brands with great prices have a way of biting you in the ass later as you will find out by reading other posts. Don't buy on price alone because you'll pay somewhere down the line. Just search the for sale forum of people trying to unload cheaper kits that the found out wasn't such a great deal. Weigh all pros and cons before making that purchase as I hate to see you give up the hobby because of an inferior product. There is nothing wrong with RTR as long as its the right choice for your situation. When you've narrowed down your choices post again asking pros and cons between your choices. This is a great forum with a bunch of guys willing to help and keep you in this hobby for good. Hoped this helped. Remember you can't go wrong with any of the big manufacturers.

the losi 2.0 rtr would be the only one I would consider. Sure its a little more than the others but look at what it comes with. It will also be competetive out of the box and parts are plentiful. its $649 at amain but with this coupon dppmar925 you can knock off $25 = $624 awesome deal !!
