the window between rich and lean

this is the hardest part of tuning by far for me. I finally got the idol and brakes right. But after haveing a pretty rich setting and wanted to lean it out for more top end ya know. So i do it and if your just a little to lean it dies. If you are a little to rich it bogs down and dies. I swear i will need a new clutch by the time i get the damn thing tuned. Btw ofna force .26 big block, dynamite 086 pipe.

You have to tune both the top and bottom end. What you want to do is tune the top so you get good speed with a good trail of smoke from the pipe. ( do it on the starter box) Warm up the engine before you start to lean it. Once you find a happy place with the HSN. you need to adjust the LSN to get a crisp clean, snappy throttle response and a smooth idle. It takes time patience and practice to get it just right, and you will need to change it according to your ambient conditions, but eventually you will find the sweet spot
