I would say that they could have 100 people pit indoors but don't hold me to that. I think it would also depend on how much room some people would take up.

If the $$$ amount I heard they wanted for an indoor pit space is true you better get a pretty big pit spot.

They sell those portable AC units, I'm sure if you close off all 4 sides on an easy up you could freeze it out!

From what I understand:

1) Indoor pit spots are $30 for the event. They were originally kept for the big companies that were sponsoring the event. I believe that there will be spots available...not too sure. The space is more like a four foot spot rather than six.
2) The indoor offroad track (again....from what I understand) will be leveled and will be open for pitting. Anyone who has raced here or seen the track on Youtube knows that that is a lot of space. Not sure if will cost anything....I don't think it will...just a feeling. If you do pit in there....be nice and clean up after yourselves...we have to race on that later.
3) Illinois is smokeless state. NO INDOOR SMOKING. That goes for the indoor track as well.
4) If you are coming from out of state and have a tent/EZ-up/canopy. I would STRONGLY suggest the following. A generator/power cord/extension cord...keeps it simple and cuts down on the building power demands. A cooler...it's going to be hot and humid...just count on it. And sunscreen, sunglasses or a small wading pool to keep things in the chill zone. Oh yeah....an umbrella might be a good thing to think about.

I know most of you aren't new and it may seem overkill to say all of this but I'm just trying to help.

This might have been something that should have been said before registration.

IDK about the $$$, but I do know you have to call and get a reservation set up. Scott at LH helped me out with that.

Just got off the phone with leisure hours. They are NOT charging for campers. You will need a generator and a long hose to fill a water tank back up. There are NO hookups. The east and west sides will be for the Campers and south side for tents. Also indoor pitting.
