Replace the conrod every 4-5 gallons and that motor will be golden. That's the only problem I've ever had. About every 4th gallon the conrod breaks. So I clean the engine out, replace the conrod, re-seal the engine up and run it again. I'm sure I'll be ready for a new P/S this summer cause I've replaced two conrods on my engine. These things are great engines. Just don't try to get them to run like the more expensive engines. They'll get close, but they're not designed to be a top level performer. That's why they don't cost $300+, ya know?

I just bought this engine and a dynamite 086 pipe to go with my losi 8ight 2.0 roller. This will be my first time running nitro so I figured I would start with a cheaper 3 port. Any suggestions with the engine ?

i've heard of people saying to replace the rod after four gallons, but i have two that have gotten over eight gallons one of the two has twelve and it still runs great. make sure the break in procces is done correctly and is tuned correctly and that engine should run for ever. best engine for the money

The Macstar is not a Hyper engine..Novarossi hands down better.

You have a Hyper buggy with a Macstar engine
