Pinching a motor.Who do you use?. What are the PRO ancd CONS.
I have a few motors that need to be pinched.
Who do you guys use?
What are the Pros and Cons to pinching a motor?
How long does a pinch last?
Do you need to go through the same break in?
So far I have seen
www.propinch.com
http://www.osrocketracing.com/pistonsleeve.php
??? Who else is there?
Who is the best?
Thanks again guys..

you can do it yourself also, you need a hose clamp and the piston out of your motor.i dont want to give wrong info here but there is a way to do it floating around on the web just not sure where i read it though. i dont think its a permenant fix for a worn out sleeve and piston thoughand the brass bearing in the connecting rod.

I use rayaracing.com
Very affordable pricing, quick and good service.
I ran a pinched cv-r .12 most the summer. It's still running strong
for the winter racing as well. My opinion is pinched engines are as
good or better than a new engine. Break em in just like a new one.
Don't ask for a tight pinch, light to medium is all you need.
I only recommend pinching engines that you've used yourself and they
were good engines but just lost pinch. I wouldn't buy somebody elses engine off ebay or that you don't know at the track and expect a pinch to bring it back. There are to many other things can be wrong with an engine and no way to tell it's true history.

Forgot to add... I agree with mugenlife and don't do the home pinch thing. Just doesn't work out more than half the time. I did that for awhile and it was so easy to oversqueeze sleeves with those roll clamps. Ruins them too. For 25 bux most any of those guys will squeeze it and send it back to ya. It's less the more ya send too. Worth a shot at least once just to form your own opinion, no matter which guy ya use.

Quick question about OS?
How the hell you get a hold of anyone at OS Rocket??!! I've tried E-mail and phone several times(Left messages), and he/they never returns any of them. (3 weeks now) I don't need P/S pinched, but would like to get on of there Cooling heads....

Not sure why your having trouble contacting OS. They have always answered my email even when I wasn't satisfied with a pinch. They told me to send it back to them and they would take care of it - No questions asked!
I know many other people who have done engines with them and they have turned out great.
Try reaching JB at

I have never worked with OS Rocket but I share your frustration in trying to contact a recommended company multiple times over several months and never getting a answer to your question. My problem happened with BCE which I see your a product testor for, just thought I would point it out to show the irony.

when you flame out midway through your final and miss out on your bump up, is that a big enough of a "con" ?
