Default Robitronics Mantis or Hot Bodies Stadium Pro?

I dont want to hear "neither" I want opinions.

I don't know much about either but here's something I was reading the other day.

Have you tried using the search function, I'll bet there's a thread on here somewhere.

I've owned the mantis and it's quite a headache I think the hotbodies would be a better buy..but if that's the case just hold off and buy the D8t it's only like $440...you'll just have to build it...

well i guess i can speak for the lightning, hopefully it will help in your decision. dont know anything about the mantis. I have an lightning stadium pro2 that i picked up (used) to race for the Nitrochallenge in AZ back in Feb. i mainly picked up to just get more run time at the race because buggy is my main thing. well long story short, to my suprise, I ended up putting the LSP in the A-main of the open class (along with the D8). with very little wheel time, the truggy was very easy to get a hang of its driving characteristics. so is it race worthy? yes, i believe it is, the proof is in the results. only reason i didn't finish is cause the chassis was way thin and was flexin all over the place; eventually stripping out the spur/clutchbell. BUT remember i said it was just for runtime so I didnt even bother to change the chassis before going to the race. now is it the latest and greatest, ofcourse not. will it be good enough to race and have a good time, yes.

as far as the mantis goes, i don't think i have ever seen one at a track. does that tell you anything? not that i have seen a whole lot of LSP's either, but it did come from what is now a World Champion company.

i am selling my LSP if you are interested, like i said, it needs a new chassis and spur gear though. i have a ton of spare parts too. let me know if are interested. its the rolling chassis only. let me know if you have any other questions about the LSP, i will try to help you out.

D8T All the way. But they did just come out with a LSP2 which is upgraded and easier to work on but there is no comparison between the 2 the D8T is based of the world champ. Yes you dont get a cheap electronics system so what it would break in a few days anyway and the rtr engine is good for an rtr But get the D8T no need for hop ups get yourself a GO TECH .21 5 port or if you want to go crazy a GO TECH .25 6 port race. and ebay a radio and get some decent servos. This truggy just came out like 3 days ago I want 1 and will get 1 later I have the buggy already trust my D8T ALLDAY
