Do you race at a track that uses personal transponders?

If the answer is yes to my question, then yes, you should get one. Makes your life at the races so much better.

They attach to the car and correspond with the lap timing equipment to give you exact timing. If you race then get one...it is much better than taking out club a transponder after each race.

YES you should get one. If your track uses a personal transponder compatible timing system that is. They really make racing easy and hassle free. No more house transponders and the issues that come along with them.

By issues Jammin means.......(1) Not having to rush to get the transponder before your heat. (2) Not having to worry about it not counting laps for you. (3) Not having it fall off and you losing it.

AMBrc Personal ranges in price but is work the extra money spent. If you run more than one class you can have clone transponders made (same identification #'s) for a lil extra $$$.

But in the end you will alot happier the a personal transponder my friend!!

Also, some tracks require transponders. So it was to a point where if I wanted to race, I would have to get one.

If you don't know what one is you probably don't need one.

Do you race?

Or just forgetting to go to the booth to get the loaner, and then do your qualifier without one, and then when you look at the results sheet you have no time. That sucks.... I just got mine

It wasn't a really big deal using house transponder. I always put it back after my heat or main. The real problem comes from the same bunch always seem to forget to put it back. Alway amazes me how they always say "I forgot" every weekend. Then the battery power goes low in them screwing the next guy who uses it.
I went to personal to save alot of hassel because what others do. The other thing alot of club and major races don't have house transponders because it saves them a hugh cost somewhere around 2500.00 for set
