Default Outerwears shock sleeves. R U Running them?

I was thinking of getting some Outerwears big-bore shock boots / sleeves, I don't know if they are worth the money. I get a fair amount of mud / crap inside the springs when I run my 8Ight -T, but It isn't too much that I notice a performance weight difference and it's not too terribly difficult to clean. Will I look like the kid at elementary school whose mom made him wear rubber rain boots that had rubber duckies printed on them?

Don't be scared to put those '85 leg warmers on your shocks.

Chill- You missed a good Battle this year. We had record attendance if you can believe that. I don't blame you for not coming though. If I wasn't already down there I wouldn't have made the trip with the weather like it was. It all worked out though. The track was really fun.

Buy the ones sold on ebay. They are cheaper and work much better than the outerwears IMO. They are nice and loose so the dont affect your spring rate.

I got the bad horsie ones for my 2.0 and they are worth every penny. Keep the shafts clean and they dont rip like the rubber boots so they last forever. Just like Slaytanic said they do not affect the spring rate because they are loose, so to me it was a win win decision.

Thats the place. As good as you'll get. They make nice ones for my 808 designed nice and big. And the airfilter cover is easier to deal with as well.

I just bought yellow shock covers and a silver air filter cover from jamesh7183 on ebay. I wanted matching ones but he didn't have any yellow filter covers up, but when I opened the package he had included a free yellow filter cover along with my order. I had never mentioned to him about wanting a matching set or anything that was all him. A class act.

Does this type of cover take aways from the springs in an RC car. If the product is so good why isn't the pro using them???
