Werks made it Jump.

I had an LC32MT Werks engine in my truggy until today. I was outside running it on the street and just doing speed runs, not a good thing. I forgot I had my temp gun in my pocket, so when I did bust it out I was running 297, kinda hot with a Odonnell MT plug part# odo100. After getting that reading I richened it up a lil now running @ 276 still to much. Richened it some more now im running 244 I fine with that. Went for another run to see if it was going to be stable around the last reading. On the way up the street I gave it more gas and then I heard this very loud unusual:eek: pop. Thought I had just blown the con rod and thats it, come to find out busted a whole lot. What suprised:nod: me is when it pop the rear end jumped @ least 6 in off the ground wish I couldve had it on video. Here is some pics to let you see the aftermath.

LMK if anyone has this engine and would like to work out a deal.

I think you might have needed a new rod LOL, sorry I had to. I havent EVER seen that how old was the rod? The original? What happened to the chassis??

If you goal is to strech a rod and do that kind of damage, then speed runs up and down the street is the perfect way to do it. It's ok to do that in a vehicle with a transmission, but a buggy, or a truggy. big no no. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that.

That sucks. that kind of damage, you can't salvage much, the carb, maybe the crank, if the rod didn't scrape it up too much. and the cooling head!

Yeah it not much to slavage but the carb, crank, and head. But I bought this engine in pieces off ebay in 05 so I didnt pay full price. I have a WS7TL2G in the drawer but waiting to put that on when I get back to the states along with my AKA tires. So I'm looking for a new motor. Thinking of a used C6bb7T.
