Default Best Starter Box for a Losi 2.0?

Hello

I've recently switched from an RC8 to a Losi 2.0 buggy. I was using an Associated model 1750 starter box for the RC8. It's not going to work for the new Losi. I have a race this weekend and probably will have to purchase tomorrow and next day air a box to me for the weekend. I've seen there have been a lot of problems with the Losi boxes. Can anyone tell me the best box for the 2.0? I would really like a high quality box that I'm not going to have to modify. At this point I'll probably be using a couple of NiMh stick packs for power.

Thanks for the help!

Josh

the blue ofna truggy box seems to be the hot ticket right now. You can adjust the hardware on the top so your losi will line up correctly.

Ya the OFNA box has I think 2 775 motors in it.. If that box can't start your motor then your plug or motor is bad. That box can turn over anything.

+1 on the Blue Ofna Truggy box. I used a Losi box for the past race season and I finally got tired of how weak it was. I recently purchased an Ofna Truggy starter box and what a difference. I run a 14.8 4S 20C 2200 lipo and I replaced all the wiring with deans wet noodle. I have an 8T 2.0 and it turns it over like nothing. I adapted the box to accept the Losi starter box alignment tabs, but if you are running only a buggy, protek sells a top that will fit the 8B 2.0 perfectly. Below is a picture of my starter box and links to amain.

The Losi box with motor/wire mod is the best thing going for an 8ight.

I did the wire and used a lipo and it still was a weak box always overheating and it even killed a lipo when it shorted out. Losi box is bad...

More power to you, if you are happy with it then fine. When it dumps an 80.00 lipo its time for a change. The Ofna truggy box is 10 times stronger we will see how long it lasts. Aren't you the one who told me to do the mod to the top of the Ofna box in the 1st place? Besides the question was for the best starter box for a losi not the easiest fit.

I don't use the cheap off-brand stuff sorry. If it works for you thats cool. I just stick with the brand name, good warranty and excellent customer service.

Although heavy and not as easy as the losi box this is one of the strongest boxes out there:

Some local guys have these and they are real strong and a bit smaller. With a lipo it would be the ticket.

I use this one and I think the motor issue is worked out on them. With a lipo it is flawless and very strong.
