Cool Mbx6 or Hotbodies D8

Hi guys i need some help. I currently run a mbx5r and am about to upgrade to a new car. There is a big price difference between them but i still need a good car. Which is better I can get a hotbodies d8 kit for 330 but mbx6 kit for 480. Hellllllllllpppppppppp Which is more forgiving and solid

Both cars are good. You can set them up how ever you want them to handle.
Which car is supported by your local hobby shop more?
When you answer that question that is the car you should buy.
As far as hop-ups that are sold for the D8 you don't need them. Thats whyu they're called hop-ups and not replacement parts. I run mine bone stock and I'm in the amateur amain every time I race.

get the mbx6. Car is awesome and needs no hop ups. Mine is all stock and I have 3 gallons on it with no broken parts. And I have had the best results with the x6

Get the D8 its super durable easy to driva and crazy easy to build. Stormerhobbies.com $309+ $8 shipping unbeatable. And on the D8 thread there is a cool guy making super sweet parts super cheap his username is WB-racer-ace

HOP UPS for D8? what hop ups? the only thing that I bought for D8 is the HINGE PINS for front inner and thats it, MUGEN is durable car, d8's durability is still questionable, especially its CVD's i havent broke one yet but some does, but its very stable that's what make me like the car. MUGEN = durability and quality parts, D8 is almost the same but most who races it complaining about the CVD's and the parts availability. (and then I updated my SHOCK TOWERS the one from WB just to make sure that its tough)

Get the 6. I have both. The D8 is for sale. I bought both in Sept. On the D8I have broken 7 drive shafts, 2 front diff cases, bent 1 front hinge pin, worn out out drives, all the cvds need replacing & the list goes on and on. On the Mugen I've broke 1 rear upper rod end & 1 front upper arm & the car is still tight. The D8 is more forgiving but the MBX6 is WAY lighter & tougher.

I'm in the same situation.
I have a X5R, looking for a new chassis.
I had the MBX6, unfortunately the 1,0 version. Didn't bother to upgrade it, and I was quite annoyed by the "sudden" upgrade version.

I'm waiting for the Tamiya 801X.

The upgrades really aren't that important. The 1.0 kit is a great car. I personally know mugen drivers that have not put on the upgraded parts, and it doesn't seem to bother them. If you're getting beat by someone with the upgraded kit, I can guarantee it's not because of the lightened outdrives or the revised arms.

I don't really care, I'm sure the car is great, but having a vehicle not being "100%" was not an option. I got the 6 at low price and cheap currency, but was tired of wrenching, I sold it with profit as soon as I heard about the 801X.

It's so weird, the upgrade things to the MBX6 apparently isn't noticeable, but for some reason all the other nitty gritty mods are. If they released the upgrade version after two months, for no apparent reason, well, thats even worse, then it's just for the bucks.

Noticeable changes or not, I'm waiting for the 801X, I'm quite sure that'll be a noticeable change
