Unless I am wrong the OS 30 4 stroke is a airplane engine, and I don't think it will work at all in a buggy even if you could get it mounted up and a clutch and flywheel on it, it wouldn't have enough torque to pull out!

isnt that a plane engine? they dont have the right power to run a car
|
haha i think he meant 2 stroke http://www.osengines.com/engines/osmg2075.html

Even if he's running 1.1 springs and ultra lightweight aluminum shoes it should move at low throttle, unless something is stuck!

Not a lot of RPM to work with if it's the motor above...

it is a 4 stroke and nothing is binding up but I am preety sure it is a clutch spring problem, the springs are 1.1's I believe, and I noticed there is a large amount of air gap between the shoes and the bell what is the gap supposed to be set at?
You really may need to do some custom clutch design to get the engagement to a reasonable rpm for that engine. Gearing is also a problem. If you had it in a truggy I would say to put buggy gears in both differentials. Not many options in a buggy though. Good luck. |
