Going to start keeping all the videos on the first page of this thread so you all don't have to go through a bunch of pages to find them. Comments are appreciated, also if you like my videos please rate em.

Thanks and enjoy!

Ive been posting them all over. I'll go back and rate them. Thanks

Where are you racing this weekend?

I need to really thank you again. Ive been studying the videos and I think it could really help me improve.

Are you planning on making any trips down to the Tiltyard this summer. Thats my favorite track. Its really fast and flowing and the overall design makes it a really good place to shoot video. Homer and Lisa run a great program and you'll never get more track time anywhere. You gotta try and make a trip down at some point. The next race is the 30th and 31st. Its the Nitro Racing League race #1. Come to tilted1.com and check out the forum if you get a chance.

I'll be at Blue Diamond again this Sunday, I think they're one of the only one's running. The 30th I'm doing the Meltdown at NRC, and plan on hitting the Tiltyard for the ECNS race

I learned a little from watching your line, especially through the 4 jumps before the S. You were the only one taking that line and it definately gives good momentum going into the S section.

PM or email me with your setup if you don't mind.

I can't believe my rod snapped in my GO. Oh well, got a +4 I'm breaking in today and tomorrow

Blue Diamond races onroad on Sunday dont they?

I'll be at the Yard during the Meltdown and my daughters dance recital during the ECNS.

I learned that line watching one of the truggies in their A main. The all blue one driven by another AE driver. I hadnt tried it up until the main.

The ECNS is a great race but it doesnt give you the real Tiltyard experience. Another whole crew rent the track from Homer for the weekend and host that race. Its 5 minute quals and short mains because of the amount of entries. The NRL and money races Homer is having you'll get 10 minute quals and long mains for everyone. Its a whole different ball game

My RC8 set-up.

Front
14 caster
1 dot inserts in roll center and kick-up
black sway bar
inner hole in the c-hub
2 degrees camber
29mm ride height
1.3x6 pistons 25wt AE oil
bronze springs
outer hole on stock tower outer hole on arm

Rear
2 down antisquat (2 degrees antisquat)
silver sway bar
upper link in the inner hole in hub lowest hole in tower
30mm ride height
3 degrees camber
1.3x6 pistons 25wt AE oil
silver springs
outer hole on stock tower outer on arm

diffs 5k,5k,5k AE oil
brakes just slightly biased toward the rear
lipo pack in the box
Ninja 2060 pipe 7mm insert P3 plug
carbon clutch shoes 1.0 springs 16t bell
steering mod has been done
Proline HD wing mounted about 22mm from rear tower in the flattest position
AKA soft City Blocks

I had 1.25oz weight on the chassis next to the steering servo but it started coming loose in the quals so I removed it and since it was dirty I couldnt get new weights to stick so I went without them.

If I missed anything let me know and I can figure it out.

Thanks! How were those City Blocks working for you? Racing line was pretty clean that day

Those are my new favorite tire. I used them near exclusively since Motorama. I liked them so much I took everything else I had and sold them on ebay and bought a bunch of AKA premounts. The City Blocks are so good I havent even tried the Crossbraces and Grid Irons I bought yet. IMO the insert makes them much more predictable and consistent than other brands as well as making the tire wear more evenly. I tweaked my set-up a hair for them and since that anything else feels squishy and inconsistent. That set was premounts it was great just pulling them out of the bag and installing them. The glue job was great and their perfectly balanced.

I dont plan on running anything but AKA tires this season and I am not sponsored by them.

Sticking with one manufacturer and just a couple tread designs should help me set my car up and save money. I am sick of buying all kinds of different tires and compounds. Then when it comes to picking I have a hard time deciding and running different stuff all the time can make it difficult to nail down a set-up. I sold I think 18 sets of tires I had I was carrying around with me and now I carry 4. 2 sets of City Blocks a set of Grid Irons and a set of Crossbraces. I might stock up a little but I dont think I'm gonna ever carry around tires like I was before.

I'm also getting excellent life from them I had 3 full race days on my first set of City Blocks. Motorama and 2 races at RC Pro in VA. I tried some other stuff during those races but with the whole day practicing at Motorama I feel its fair to say 3 full race days worth of time on 1 set before they were done and I sold them on ebay with the others

The set I used was new when I got there. I ran 2 tanks practice and all the races with them and I think I could get another day out of them. Sp far Ive only bought softs. Most guys at the track with mediums dont seem to like them a whole lot. Ive read that harder compounds work better when its really hot and it hasnt been hot yet this year.

A bunch of people have told me the Crossbraces are even better than the City Blocks. I plan to try them at the next race at the Tiltyard.

I dont have any I-Beams. I might try a set at some point but never really liked Bowtie style tires.
