Friggin toss the regulator. I am rolling the dice on my futaba 9351's unregulated. I have only been running lipo for a little over a month but I just know to many people in my region doing the same thing and not having problems. I bought a new set of 7955's if my futabas go up in smoke. From what I have read on the hitec thread the 7955's will handle an unregulated lipo.

I thought it was the new Hitech servos that are due out in June that are rated to 7.4 volts? Not sure the number, but you might want to check..why chance blowing $200

Can anyone in the industry or anyone that has spoken with the manufacturers say why Does the radio manufacturers not come right out and say if a regulator is needed or not. Ive seen WAY to many racers run no regulator now with no issues at all. Whats the BIG secret???

Tech's from Hitec have released statement's basically saying after significant testing they found No Ill effect's on the 7955 when running UN Regulated....i know this probably wasn't the smartest idea a month or 2 before the release of the Actual branded High voltage servo's...but the proof is in the pudding.....How many Respectable Knowledgeable guys on here are TELLING YOU its fine to run them without a regulator...and even if something does go wrong.....They WILL warranty it no question's asked.

They will replace the servos but what about the engine that blew from being WOT on a runaway or your broken buggy from hitting a wall at WOT?
That being said I am running 5955TG with Spektrum receiver in my 3PK and will not be using a regulator, seen too many problems with and so far no problems without!

Throttle return spring. It isn't just to pass tech at big races.

Will the throttle return spring handle the 7.4volts, now that is the question!!! don't want to blow 30c worth of rubber band or 50c worth of spring!!!
