Default 8ight conversion

Finally its done here it is. I took the hardware off the top of my losi box used a dremel and installed it onto the ofna truggy box. Several hours, many calculations 2 dremel bits and lots of patience and its done. OH yea by the way it actually works too. Truggy and buggy line up perfectly. No more weak losi started box.

Poor Ofna...got no credit in the decals..even though they make the best starter box to date.or at least distribute it

The starter box is the only thing I have thats ofna, I'm not trying to be an ofna hater. This is the best starter box out there. I didn't even think about it when I ordered the upgrade wrap. My mistake. If its that big of a deal I am sure I can put an ofna sticker on it somewhere. Besides if you don't know this is an ofna box well then I don't know what to tell you...

Default team losi/ofna conversion

I took the motor assembly out of a new ofna truggy box and mounted it in my losi 8ight box tonight. It was tight but I took my time. If you run both losi buggy and truggy you may what to do this conversion. It fires both cars with no problem. Take your time and dont rush it. Im going to take it apart and clean it up for some pics that show what I did. I also installed a 30 amp led lit switch from radio shack that fits great and lets you know its on. I have a gel cell in it now and gona beat the hell out of it. Lets see what happens.

I did this to mine a while back. I put the LEDs on both sides of the box so that no matter which way it's oriented, you can see them. I used 10k current-limiting resistors to protect the LEDs and the LED current draw is around 12mAh (both). Total cost was $0.25 or so, but I'm in the electronics biz and have everything already .

if its a long weekend or you plan to run more then normal i would top it off the night before.....if your only running a couple tanks of practice you will be fine...ive let my starter box lipo's go for a couple weeks and they were fine....sure they took near full capacity..but did last more then a couple weekends of starting...just keep an eye on them if your having motor issues or you lend out your box often...a simple voltage tester will work...or you can get a Dynamite Sentry which will load test the batt and tell you the condition.

I use this box with my 2.0 and love it. I would like to find a plate for a 2.0 to fit on top of the box so I can get rid of the stock pegs. Anyone know where to get one ?
