4 cell lipo lasts two race week-ends and four practice nights (I only charge twice a month, I race every w/e and practice twice a week), $25, 2+ years and still not shot, more power, more torque, more rpm, and weighs about 10 oz. verses 10 lbs.

I am sure you are correct..but you are forgetting about the explosion factor and the fact that you need a $75-$150 charger, with a balancer, and if it gets too low you need a new Lipo, and I have never found the need for it, if you preheat your engines, the gel cell works just fine, and as an added bonus your engines will last longer..

I am sure Lipo, Stick packs, and gel all work great for the people who use em..I was trying to be funny with the Gym thing, not start any fights

Well , first of all gell cell batteries last a lot longer then that , if you take care of them . Heck , I have one that is 4 years old and still going like new .

Second , I`m guessing you never used lipo . The "explosion factor" only happens when people misuse them . I race electric also with many using lipos and only one incident happened and it was the user`s fault , he tried charging it in NIMH mode . Third , you don`t need a $75-$150 charger . There are many cheaper lipo chargers that work just as good as the expensive ones . Not sure of your age but as you get older lugging around a heavy starter box sucks .

Maybe you should do your homework .

anyone convert this box to a losi type with the adjustment tabs on top. I am tired of my weak losi box and I have ordered the truggy box. A guy gave me an idea to dremmel the top and transfer the tabs from the losi box to this box. Sounds good in theory just wondering if anyone has done this and what problems they have had?

I have the Ofna Truggy box and plan to take the parts from the top plate and make it work on the ofna box . Looks simple and easy to do , just haven`t had the time yet .

Any issues with the height of the starter wheel in relation to the flywheel?

I sure Hope I never get so old that I would be so rude and nasty to my Fellow RC buds..whilst we seem to be having a conversation, you seem to prefer attacking me..This is not directed at you, but if the day comes that a 4 pound battery is too heavy to carry, that will be the least of my problems, and I dont see myself racing RC anymore at that point.

As far as your point about me not having any Lipo expierience you are correct, but lots of people I race with with use them, and I have seen disasters, and batts dying, and nobody has a $40 charger, even though they sell them.....Not to mention that the starter box needs rewiring because I've yet to see a Lipo with a Tamiya connector on it...Lipo is a whole other thing to learn, and not for a newbie racer, and with all due respect, I've never seen the need. My good old NIMH and Gel cells work just fine..PS, I'm 42..Peace
