Gas tank help

I have a SC8 and I'm wondering if there is a bigger tank that will fit in it. I looked a HPI tank but it only held a tad more fuel. Is the RC8T tank bigger?

Thanks.
I do see what yor talking about. Whats the reason they run that in a tank?

It's supposed to make the tank volume with fuel lines 125 cc for buggy and 150 for truggy. Some race programs check to make sure it does not go over. Its a attempt to make the race fair for all. And its takes up about 2.5cc of fuel volume.

This part is just a guess : It may be hard to make every tank the same volume. They put the plug in and its up to you to trim it to size so the volume of the tank plus your fuel lines don't go over.

Well, its coming out. Thanks.

The fuel tank in the SC8 is the same as the RC8T truggy.. since it is based on the RC8T chassis. If you check on the part numbers you will see they are the same part, so it has the 150cc tank already installed.

i was not suggestion that he brake the rules for tank capacity
150cc truggy 125cc buggy he was looking for a biger tank and
removing the plug wood give him a bit more capacity

For racing it will be in, but for playing with freinds its coming out. That 28 sucks gas and I can run as long as the buggie do with there 21s.

luckyhomes 03-31-2009 07:45 PM

cary Its cool I know what you ment. He was asking what its there for. Those trucks are gas hogs. Big engines working hard and need to be run rich to keep cool . I understand why he wants more run time. As far as rules go thats up to your local track. I dont think that you will see them checking them at any race. But If you plan to go to any races with a buggy or truggy that tech your car your better off leaving it in. Then you will have some experience with what the miliage you can get.

i take mine out on play days more time havin fun all good
my track will teck on race day be it for me to forget one time
and have it out :nod::nod:

Mileage? whats that. This thing doesnt pass a gas station lololol. The only way to make it real fun to race is to run with other sc8's. As for running wth the buggies I can keep up with some of them but I get SMOKED.... by the others. But I have to say, I like looking at these trucks verse buggies going around the track.
