Default Break in

I have used this break in method on 2 on road motors and it's the best by far that I've found . I made a fixture that will hold a gallon jug upside down and used a clunk out of a boat fuel tank with a brass tube goin to the top of the jug. When the motor gets fully broke in it will all of a sudden start revving up. I run a zenon that I broke in this way and have about 4 gallons on the original rod and still heat it every start or it sticks at tdc. If you use this method and do it right you will have a faster longer lasting engine.

I use the heat cycle method as on johnnycoolguy.com only difference is the first 20-25 min I heat cycle at idle on the box then drive at varried throttle positions not more than 1/2 throttle. After the reccomended time I slowly race tune and engines last into the 8+ gal range.

Let us know hoe it turns out to be on cold pinch after a few more tanks.
OS are known for low pinch after a gallon or so.

All i ever do is heat to 200 with a heat gun, start and wrap the head in foil to keep the temps up. I run about 6 tanks through it in a row. I do not heat cycle or anything. After that, I tune and let her rip.

My engines always make insane power and run for many gallons. I have GRP's ifthat matters to anyone.

9 hrs?
I like what I'm reading...but think I'll stick to my normal routine. I don't believe my neighbors would be very happy with a constant 9 hr bee like drone :P

i have a very similar run in method but i leave mine in the car and have it idle for 4 litres of fuel without stopping it takes a full day so i usally do it at my mates workshop at least i can keep him company while this process carry's on i havent had a motor fail on me yet.
