Got to Love Hitech
Last week, i sent in a hitech 5996tg that went bad. It was 7 months old, and just stopped working the weekend prior.
Today, i received my new servo, since the motor went bad on the other. Much to my surprise, i want sent a 5996tg, but a 7955tg. Hitech customer servo, went well above and beyond on this one.

Hitec's customer service is top notch. As for the servo exchange, if the model has been discontinued, you'll more than likely get what replaced it. For the 59xx series, it's been replaced by the 79xx series and that's why you got what you got. As for the 5945, I don't think that model was discontinued so I wouldn't get your hopes up. That's also what makes this companies servos so good. The service backs up it's products.

Dang, I've been tryying to kill this 5955 I've had for years..... Its been in truggy conversions (ya thats how old it is), truggies, buggies back and forth.... the thing is a buffalo. I've seen people with locked servo savers in truggies break alum arms one after another and the servo is perfect, just as smooth as the day it was built....
I have a couple spares for the day when it kicks the bucket, but they might be rusted up by then
So I'm not sure how to burn it up.... I guess turn my EPA's up and hold it at full throw until it smokes

Servo horns need to be Beefed up imo....I use a thin strip of CF 2-3mm thick and bolt it together with the 1st hole...i have yet to bugger up a horn since. The Losi horns are also Uber tough.
