Default After run oil for air filters?

Will after run oil work as a replacement for air filter oil?

I've ran out of oil once and thought about using it.

After run oil is not as sticky as Filter Oil. Anything would be better than nothing. Just get some more filter oil as soon as you can.

I've been using JP 1 motorcycle filter oil with good results. It's sticky as hell and a can will last a long time. Its also much cheaper than rc filter oil.

+1 on the motorcycle air filter oil. I bought a qt of Bel Ray oil. It is very sticky and will last forever. You wouldn't have to worry about running out

If I was going to use after run oil in a pinch I would oil both inner and outer filters.

After run oil is thick enough to work in a bind and will trap some dust for you. I know guys who have used it forever and use nothing else.

But, it is not as good as other products designed for foam filters. I use JP-1 also. Their cleaner is real good too
