The servos are decent for an RTR. Make sure you set your EPAs so they do not burn up. The Radio is a Spektrum DX2.0 and is probably the best out of any RTR on the market. The engine is the Mach 427 and is also about the best on the market as far as RTRs are concerned.

I picked one of these up 3 months ago and love it.

if it were me id look for a used race roller someone has already put servos and a motor on...

there are ALOT of changes between the rtr and a race roller... and they make a HUGE difference...

look on e-bay for one theyre all over... youll liek the race roller better

I bought the losi 8T RTR and I love it. You can try to find a Factory model as hound suggested but it is unlikely you will find one as a complete package in good condition for what the RTR costs. Depending on your skill level it probably wouldn't make a big difference anyway.

What are the differences besides the shock towers, shock caps, chassis, and motor mounts?

I bought the RTR and have already picked that stuff up new on ebay for ~$100. Just wondering what else there is that is different.

cox - if you find that chart please post it here...

dustnf - the guy at my local hobby shop ratted off a long list i cant remember em all...

1. over sized threaded hard annodized shocks

2. machined alluminum alloy shock towers.

3. sealed differential housings.

4. and the ulta light wheels and tires...

thopse are the 4 BIGGIES....

i baught my race roller on thsi site in EXTREMELY good contition... came with 2 wings 4 bodies, brand new mach 427 and sport pipe (the mach 427 is the VERY best rtr motor out there... PERIOD) JR servos and jr XS3 synthesized radio brand new jconcept wheels with proline crimefighters.. i baught all that for $400... thats not all the stuff it came with either...

The shocks are the same, the kit ones just have aluminum caps. The differentials are thge same, the kit ones just come oil filled instead of greese. The wheels and tires are the same, kit wheels are just yellow.

The only differences between kit and RTR are...

Shock towers,
Shock top and bottom caps,
Chassis,
motor mounts,
hinge pins, king pins, and shock shafts(just not TI coated, no biggie),
Hex hubs(blue instead of grey),
Body, wing and wheels,
Clutch(RTR has 4 aluminum shoes, kit has 2 aluminum and 2 carbon) IMO the RTR clutch is better.

All in all they are very close. The RTR is a very good value.
