What I do is remove engine, pipe, radio tray, and tank. Then spray off with the hose, then spray with simple green and scrub with one of those big brushes made for cleaning your real car's wheels. Then I spray with the hose again to rinse, then coat with WD-40 especially the beaings and drive shafts etc. and blow down with the compressor. Then to top it off I spray with orange pledge and blow the excess off. Leavs the car looking like new. Then of corse you gotta clean the tires. I use a bucket of warm water with simple green and a scrub brush. clean the body and wing with the orange pledge. People at the track will think the car is new every weekend.

This is after my cleaning. After a long day of racing. Was pretty bad befor I cleaned it.

I do the same thing, but with out the Orange pledge..Never had any rust problems..But I check and change my bearings long before they will get rusted..I get the same results as you..but I have been getting lazy lately, and only give it a good cleaning once a month, otherwise it's a brush and the air compressor

Yeah it really works well with no negative effects. The pledge really gives it a shine. It also helps repel dust and make cleaning even easier.
