Questions?? GRP fitment into a 8T 2.0

I'm putting a GRP .28 into a Losi 8T 2.0 with the quick remove engine mount and the carbs throttle hits the plastic above the rear brake. The engine mount's arrows are pointed the right way (toward the clutch) and the spur gear is in the middle of the clutch bell gear. I was going to shave off a little of the plastic to make it work.

Has anyone else had this problem?

All you need to do it remove the screw that holds the carb onto the engine then move the carb away for the center diff and your problem is fixed

I've had to do that with my .21 Grp in my buggy

Thumbs up Thanks...

Thanks... I was focused on the truck's chassis so much I did not think to just move the carb.

I would still dremel some off of the top of the center diff mount as it will help you out by not having to angle the carb as much. The straighter you can get the carb the better.

I did that on both my losi buggy and truggy...

go to the losi site, their is a whole page on how to set up the linkage using the grp, just looked at it again and it says nothing about using the dremel,to be honest i don't think they would design it that way, turn the carb so it clears the center diff and you will be fine.

they did NOT design the buggy around a specific motor.....the GRP's/Ninja/OS all have big fat carb's that are at quite an angle if nothing is shaved....you wont hurt anything takin off the corner of the top diff plate...i do it as well as Lots of other 8ight driver's.

and FYI the pic you are referring to has the top plate shaved for clearance....you can blatantly see it

I just wanted to say that I was surprised that "fitment" was a real word.
