Toro Nero will be too much on your MBX6 which if light as a feather. If money is no problem then the OS would be your choice. I am not a fan of OS since I had two VSPEC engines blow up. I would suggest looking into the Novarossi Plus 21-4.

If it were me I would be looking at a plus 4 if a novarossi is what you seek. I have an mbx6 and I run a plus 4 with a 9901 and a medium nova header. It makes good, smooth usable power and gets very good runtime.
I have had several os motors and cannot really complain to much. They have a "LOT" of bottom end, get really good fuel mileage , and much like the nova are super reliable. My only gripes on an os is I have a little harder time controlling all of the power they make down low, and I just dont get the life out of an os like I do a novarossi. I have a p5 in my buggy that has over 10 gallons on it, yes its a little tired but it just keeps on going. The best I have ever seen out of my vspecs is about 8-9 gallons. But of course the new vspecII should be an even better motor with the hardened crank, I never had any bearing or crank case issues out of all my vspecs. Really a tough choice, I would have to say price would play a role in that decision but I still bet the nova will last longer.

The speed motor is a good motor with ceramic bearing, smooth power band, and realiable use. The draw backs are increased maintenance to ensure long engine life, and costs. I use the Speed Vspec and to me it's a good choice, but expensive. I just check the rear bearing more often and am ready to change it a little more frequently than some of the other motors I use. With the Novarossi motors, you get longer motor life, and a little cheaper in price which allows you to use the money else where. It's a matter of choice and what you are willing to do. If you have the time and tools to change bearings in a motor, then the Speed wouldn't be bad at all, but if you don't really want to do that kind of maintenance, then get the novarossi instead. Either way, you really wont be doing anything wrong as far as performance. Good luck.

Just a thought www.protwistermods.com PTM Race Prep JX .21 you can ask Mr. Novarossi "Pete Worth" how this motor is, he ran it in his mugen and loves it.

The plus 4 is is very good in buggy, i like the ofna 053 better than the 9901, helps wake the topend up on this engine.

The Toro is a pissed of engine, it would be alot of motor for buggy, but for high bite tracks, may work, Look for a Full test review in next month's RC magazines. Bess has been also testing the motor for some time now.

But a good pick would be a JX for the money or the Plus, good luck

I would say get the OS speed Vspec II. It is very smooth, and it has very stong bottom also.
