Default plastic ceter gear

any one try a plastic ceter gear from a eletric conversion on a nitro truggy , will it get hot and melt ?? seams like it could save some weight there if it was reliable ??

are you talking about the spur gear, or the internals of the diff?

whats a ceter gear?

I've ran them in the past.... super lightweight and willl last about a gallon

I never melted one, but rocks and stuff would kill the teeth over time.
