I hope I'll be seeing this at the track tomorrow.

You'd be suprised the level of creativity a couple of "meatheads" can muster after a few beers! Brad, we did a pretty good job on it!

Of course, most ppl would take at least a couple of days to get those results. What did it take us.....5 beers or so?

I bit the bullet and painted a new lid for my buggy. The new track (my skills, lol) at Indy is destroying my lids. It's a one-color-wonder, though. I won't be too heartbroken when I tear this one up.

What's up, T? I went to Indy yesterday and got some good practice in. I think I'm coming up on you a bit. I got some 30 second laps in with my buggy.

I also ended up getting hired there, lol. It's a day or two a week... Sundays in particular. I'm supporting my R/C addiction and they're a great bunch of guys to work for, too.

Ok, in reply to questions:

It is a ProLine body for a TMaxx/Revo. (Short chassis.) It is JUST long enough to clear the rear shock towers.

Would it fit (insert type of truggy here...)?

I don't know what it would work on except it fits my Jammin (that I'm getting rid of) and my XT8 (that I just got.)

Are there any issues with fitment?

Yes, 3 things:
1) It rubs on the pipe pretty severely... the pipe is actually pushing the side out slightly.
2) It rubs SLIGHTLY on the radio tray in the Jammin. Not sure on the Xray.
3) The side window doesn't line up as well with the gas tank lid as a stock body, so your pit crew has to stab it at a slight angle.

I had a lot of fun getting it to fit, and it turned out better than expected. There was nothing particularly difficult about making it fit. No real "modifications" although of course the cut lines are nothing like they are for the Revo or TMaxx. Total from new body in package to cut out (I cut first, painted after since the cut lines are so different) painted, and ready to mount about 2.5 hours (hence the 5 beers... we drink slow when busy! lol)

And as for you leg humpers who are more interested in my daughter... you DO realize I'm from Texas, right? Do you know what the firearms per person ratio is here?

No, my daughter isn't into RC, but she'll come out to watch me race sometimes, for part of a day anyway. But she's much too "girly" to get her hands dirty with a nasty nitro powered truck... oh well.

And I got the idea to do this from the guys running the early Chevy bodies on the Revos. And for those of you who know me, you KNOW I'm more about having fun than taking this seriously... it was an opportunity for some entertainment. I couldn't resist.

I will be at Indy pitting for Ron... I didn't get signed up in time to race. I'm already signed up for the RC Pro South Round 1 in Austin though... I might bring the truck to Indy in case there is an open spot that comes up.

What, you,re not going to pit for me? After all the times I went after your truck when was on it's lid.... I would need to take my clothes off to count that high.

Only because you can only count to 5 without removing something...

Of course I'll pit for you too. You'll only have to pit once in a 10 minute main anyway.
