Default Putting a bigger carb in a TRX 3.3 (15k?)

Hey, i have heard about putting a bigger carb (i think it is like an O.S. 15k carb?) into the traxxas 3.3 motors increases performance and tunability.. is it really that much better than stock? would you consider converting, or would you just not bother? What does it really do for you?
If you guys could answer my questions i would really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Later!

Yeah some people use the 11k carb. The 3.3 carb is the root of the problem when it comes to that engine. The O.S. carb tunes much better, I don't know about performance gains, but it's possible you could see some.

I'm not sure if it's a direct swap, but I believe that there is a little modding you have to do.

Hi, I posted this mod way back in the Traxxas forum a few years ago.

It was an OFNA .26 carb that I put onto the Traxxas 3.3

Not sure if you can get these carbs anymore, Basically you need measure the diameter of the Traxxas carb and find a carb that has the same diameter.
You really want to find a carb that belongs to .21 or larger engine.

You will definately notice a huge difference.
The bottom end gain is huge, while the top end is much stronger also.
No other mods needed, You will be amazed how much difference it makes.

alright thanks! mainly i want tunability, and airflow because it seems like the stock traxxas carbs either hold the engine back, or dont tune the greatest.. if i can find a good deal on an o.s. .21 or larger that will work then i might try it out.. sounds like a good idea!
Thanks guys! i appreciate the input,
