Default tips for a newbie

Hi guys i'm entering the world of rc nitro for the first time. I ordered a associated SC8 and am in need of some tips or any info that I may need to get started in nitro offroad.
I've been racing quads over the last 9 years competing in the Grand National Cross Country series (GNCC) and due to a new career field I thought I would give this a try. I have raced 1/10th electric years ago but dont have a clue about nitro so any help will be greatly appriciated!

thanks in advanced
Bob

Well my best tip would be to drive the rc at your local track and see what you break then buy a few spare parts and i'm into quads to and as you know the cleaner you keep things the better the run and easier they are to fix

spend extra time on your throttle/brake linkage... find a pro at your local track to help dial it in... put a lot of clean filters on your engine. Most nubes don't take care of the air cleaner enough. oil the outer and the inner, and then just change the outer throughout the day when it gets dirty... my .02
