Default MIP clutch installation

What the hell is up with the damn spring ?? This is my first attempt at using one of these , I tried threading the spring together but it doesn't hold long ... I guess it would be too much to include instructions ?

it should have hooks on the ends, they just hook together...thats it

The ends might look like they're almost closed loops - but there's enough of a gap left open to hook the ends together.
