just wondering what bearings guys r using and why? all rubber , rubber and metal sheild or all metal. trying to decide what to get.

I used to use just the dollor Avid bearings, until I upgraded to the ceramics.

I use metal shield on mainly only the clutch bearings. For everything else, rubber sealed is usually better where nitro and dirt come together...

One thing I will say, if you do not plan to take the whole car apart and clean and lube the bearings every 1/2-1 gallon of fuel..Dont buy bearings that are more than $1 each. $10 ceramic bearings are only as good as they are clean!

If your putting bearings in a 8ight 2.0 email them and they will give a list of everything you need and it comes out to like $25 or $30 bucks i think thats thats what i paid for mine.

I'm using the revolution bearings. They are rubber and metal. The rubber goes on the outside and the metal on the inside.

i use the rubber seal ones on my clutch bearings, and if i rebuild my engine im going to buy there ceramics, the bearings are VERY good. and CHEAP!! and you might get a free sticker sheet!

How much better are the ceramics? Would there say there is enough of a difference to warrant paying $5 per bearing instead of $1? Is the difference even noticeable? And do they last longer than metal before needing to be replaced?

There smoother, better and last longer so yes i would invest the 5 bucks into them, i just bought the rubber sealed because i didnt really need the ceramics and i didnt have like 20 bucks for bearings. But i would get the ceramics
